Spring Soccer Approaches

Net Net

The Spring Season is almost here and that means it's time to put up nets and move goals! Volunteers should meet at the Greeley Student Parking Lot on April 1st at 10:00 am, and that's no April Fool's joke!

Coaches Convene

The Spring Coaches meeting this year will be on April 6th at 7:00 pm at the Seven Bridges Auditorium. This meeting will feature a talk by youth sports expert Greg Heinzmann from Rutgers University on nurturing the child in your athlete. This meeting is mandatory for all AYSO coaches. All other parents are invited to attend, too. Following his talk, the AYSO coaches will meet for announcements regarding the Spring season.

Prior to the Coaches Meeting, at 6:30, representatives from Chappaqua's recreational sports programs will be on hand to answer parents' questions regarding sports in Chappaqua.

Season Starts Sequentially

The older divisions, particularly those involved in Area play (against other towns) will start on April 8th. Soccer practices and games will start for the younger divisions on April 22nd, the weekend after Spring Break. Field space will be provided for those in younger divisions that want to play pick-up games on Saturday, April 8th. Your coach will send you your team's schedule after he or she has received it from the division coordinators. This will probably be in early April.
